We prepare and file federal and state income tax returns for individuals, businesses (we love working with small businesses!) and other entities. We offer virtual and face-to-face appointments for current year, prior, year and amended tax returns.
Here are our tax prep FAQ’s (with answers!):
How do we get started? The first step is to meet with us to get acquainted and set up in our systems. The initial consultation is usually about 30 minutes and includes a review of your most recently filed returns. This will help us get to know you and your tax needs so that we can provide the solutions that work best for you.
What does it cost? Simple individual returns (Form 1040) start at $195 but most of our clients have more complex returns and rates increase with complexity. Small business returns (Schedules C & E) start at $395 and corporate returns (Form 1120s) start at $750.
What are your processes? It all starts with the data. First, we need basic demographic information for everyone on the return. Next we need all relevant income and expense information, and if you need help getting organized, we have tools for that. We also need a signed engagement letter and, from new clients, a non-refundable down payment on the work.
Do you file extensions? Yes, of course we do! There are many reasons to file an extension and millions of folks do it every year. Just know that an extension is an extension of time to file, not an extension of time to pay so making a good estimate of the taxes due is an important part of the process.
Can you help my family and friends? Absolutely. If you like working with us and find value in our services, we would welcome the opportunity to work with your friends and family. Referrals are always appreciated!
What if I have a really simple return I’d like to do myself? For a working dependent or other simple return, If you really want to go it alone we recommend the site below:
